The World of Michael Clark
Some resources about the wonderful world of dancer Michael Clark, who like an 80s Lil Peep, merged worlds and subcultures to form his own genre.
In this art centred newsletter I'm going to share a handful of things that have interested me over the month/week/fortnight, whatever, I'm not sure how the schedule will go yet. If you read or subscribe then I would love to hear from you,
An exhibition:
Michael Clark's exhibition 'Cosmic Dancer' was at Barbican Art Gallery 7th Oct 2020 - 3rd Jan 2021 and was cancelled prematurely due to the pandemic. Coronavirus permitting, the exhibition will be at the V&A Dundee, Scotland from 30th Oct 2021 - 6th Feb 2022.

An Essay:
Alex Bennett has written Something Like Saturn: Michael Clark for Flash Art's Dance Office column, dedicated to contemporary dance and performance art.
A Podcast:
A three part podcast series, from the Barbican's podcast - Nothing Concrete: Michael Clark's Creative World: Visual Art with Sadie Coles. This has also been fully transcribed which is nice.
A publication:
Tinted Window Mag is edited by Oscar Gaynor and Alex Bennett (who wrote the essay in Flash Art featured above. I don't know them, just the circular nature of the google deep dive led me to feature both, fyi). It's a journal that focuses on one person, place or object per issue.
